George MacDonald's The Portent, 1924 Centenary edition, London...$200

    Generally sound and strong, about Very Good condition. Some rubbing and sunning, especially on the spine. About the only flaw is a very small spot of cloth  missing from an area on the spine, just below the title area. This edition was intended as a Souvenir available only to attendees to the Centenary birthday celebration in London in 1924! Greville MacDonald sponsored this gathering for his family, and G K Chesterton was the keynote speaker! As of this posting there are none others advertised anywhere. Excessively rare, a true collectible for the upper division GMD collector! A real treat to own and enjoy!
