Years ago I did a musical experiment: I read the two chapters of Phantastes where Anodos is chased by the Ash in a storm, is saved by the Beech, spends the night protected by her, and has to leave her behind the next day. It's a dreamlike part of the book (like many parts of it, really). I read the passages, felt all the feels and thought all the thoughts, picked up my guitar, and started doodling around. The two tracks here were the result.

There was a beginning part where he was being chased by the Ash but I recall it seemed a bit too James Bond and left it off the album. DoorWay was released in 2007.
