Generally Good + to Very Good - condition, a strong and sound volume with some rubbing and fading. Spine ends have slight wear and tear, otherwise a scarce copy represented well for 124 years young! MacDonald produced this his 2nd adult dimensional fantasy over about a 5 year period, he began writing the first of several drafts ion late 1889. Greville found it intriguing, Louisa was troubled by it. This, one of his final literary statements, certainly demands the reader to come away from it a changed thinker! Perhaps considered his most provoking story in his canon, the story is certainly fashioned to make a difference in the reader's life! An antiquarian must for every GMD Library, very rare in any condition! From my personal library.
