This hardcover edition of At the Back of the North Wind is the Junior Deluxe Edition from Nelson Doubleday, 1956, published in Garden City, New York, USA. It is a book club edition and illustrated by Colleen Browning. I'm not a qualified art critic, but there are a few nice illustrations and most of the others don't appeal to me. There is definitely a 1950's "feel" to some of the illustrations.
